To Replace or Not To Replace

images[1]

I noticed this morning that my deodorant expired in November 2008.  There is still plenty of stick left.  I suppose if I notice people giving me more than enough personal space, it may be time to get some more Secret Solid.

Killin' Me Softly with Citrus

Saturday, in the late afternoon, Keaton and Weston and a few other mischief makers, escaped to our backyard and yanked tons of citrus off our trees.  Hurling lemons and oranges at the wall was the method used to open the fruit.  We had peels and fruit pieces all over the yard which were undiscovered until nightfall.

First thing Sunday morning the boys were assigned cleanup of the fruit remains.  Apparently, there were random chopsticks in our backyard as well (what were they doing out there?), so, of course the obvious thing to do is to make swords--lemon swords.

I tried not to love it, but I couldn't help myself.

True Lime=True Love

truelime

My sis, Cindy, sent me a box of this stuff and I adore it.  A couple of months ago I used my last True Lime packet and was slightly distraught when I could not find it at my local grocery store.   Last week, I finally found some at a Safeway a few miles from my house and I bought every box.   (I'm thinking neighbors gifts at Christmas???)

My favorite thing to do with it, so far, is sprinkle it on some chicken (along with season salt) and fry it up in a pan, cutting the chicken in to bite size bits.  When the chicken is lightly golden I spoon it in to some corn tortillas with melted cheese, then top it off with mango salsa.  True love, indeed.

One Liner

Every day has a favorite.  Today it came from Weston just before we played a game of tic-tac-toe:

"Mom you be the X's and I'll be the Ohs'es"

He beat me with the ohs'es.
