do jelly bellies fly?

the answer is yes, jelly bellies certainly can fly.

they are most proficient at flying when the starting point is within  a glass jar, perched about 7 feet up on a shelf in the pantry.  even better, is when the glass jar is sitting atop a blue glass cake stand.  more specifically, a blue glass cake stand that your mom gave to you when your first baby boy was born.  (because she knew you loved cake stands and now you needed a blue one to go with your pink ones.)

if the glass jar and the cake stand happen to fall (when you are trying to reach for the jar to set out for an spring treat in your kitchen) you will surely then witness the flight of a jelly belly.  some may fly up to fifteen feet of the pantry.

there is quite a mess to clean.

and little tears wet your eyelashes over that blue glass cake stand as you think on the gift of a thoughtful mother.

and a hand to be cut once or twice as you clean.

there are also juicy pear jelly bellies to be rescued from the glass and debris.

but you have seen jelly bellies fly.

That is so SAD. I hate when stuff like this happens. It always seems to happen to me around Christmas.

PS. I love that you rescued the juicy pears!
